Robotics are embedded into nearly every stage of modern manufacturing, from material handling and transport to alignment, tool loading and unloading, inspection, and assembly. Robotics systems deliver the precision, cleanliness, and throughput demanded for today’s most advanced production environments.
Through many years of collaboration with our clients, we have achieved high levels of expertise in the automation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, delivering high-reliability robotics control software, system optimizations, and test automation frameworks.
Internally, we have built a configurable robot simulation and testing framework capable of scaling to millions of tests per release.
Saguaro offers particular expertise in:
If you’re finding it difficult to secure the software engineering talent you need to stay competitive, you’re not alone.
As our clients over the past quarter century have found, Saguaro can help. By tapping into our deep technical resources, you can scale your programs more quickly, easily, and effectively.
Our expertise extends across programming languages, web technologies, operating systems, databases, tools, and more — everything needed to automate and control sophisticated fabs like yours.
Challenge: A global provider of semiconductor manufacturing equipment found that certain of its robot configurations could not be tested physically due to limited hardware availability and setup constraints.
Solution: Building on an existing simulation environment, Saguaro worked closely with the company to design and implement a new test framework and automation setup. This automated testing process enabled the majority of test cases to be executed without manual intervention or physical hardware.
Result: Testing increased from a few hundred instances to nearly 2 million tests per release, across 8,000 test cases.
Challenge: A leading manufacturer of semiconductor wafer handling equipment had long used a set of existing production tools critical for calibration, but knowledge about the tools’ software had been lost over the years. Minimal documentation existed, and the build process was no longer understood internally.
Solution: Saguaro analyzed the existing source code and reconstructed the build mechanism to understand the software’s structure and functionality. From there, we adapted the tools to meet new requirements and ensure continued usability.
Result: With the legacy software understood and updated, the foundation was laid for developing new calibration tools that were better aligned with current requirements and technology standards. This revitalized capability supports continued innovation and product evolution in a specialized market.
The goal of our Robotics lab is to emulate important working conditions that robotics equipment will experience in the real world.
